Construction Project Coordinator

Bergman KPRS is a leading national General Contractor/Project Management Company that is opening up a satellite office in Washington. We specialize in retail, restaurants, automotive, grocery, big box, tenant improvements and site development projects.

We are currently seeking local talent for a dynamic experienced Project Coordinator as an integral member of our local project team that will be responsible for assisting us in delivering our retail projects that vary in size and complexity.  The Project coordinator will be responsible for directing, organizing, and controlling project activities under the direction of the Project Manager (PM).

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Issue Contracts, Letters of Intent, Purchase Orders, etc
Maintain Contract Execution Tracking Log
Capable of taking notes & creating meeting minutes 
Assist Project Manager with project proposals, budgets, and preliminary schedules
Effective in project organization and communication
Assist in tracking the progress and quality of work being performed by construction trades
Knowledge of project scheduling
Ability to control and monitor projects plans & addendums
Ability to track expenditures (receipts/costs)
Ability to accurately communicate (both written and verbal) important project information to the client and project team 
Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely manner
Track field inspection reports throughout the project ·
Assist the PM in the review of Contractor quotations
Track & manage change orders in the database
Prepare and obtain completion information for close out documents 
Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact the schedule and/or client relations  

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in the Construction extremely helpful
Experience supporting a Construction Project Manager in the delivery of construction projects
Proficient in MS Project including Excel,MS Word and Outlook. Experience in CM/Expedition extremely helpful.
Familiarity with construction methods and the building code
Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
