National General Construction Company seeks experienced "Medical Fixture Consultant" to assist in the planning and buy-out stages on a current medical/dental facility Training Center. This is a contract position that can become permanent dependent on the individual's knowledge-experience and project team's ability to incite more projects based on their success. Consultant will be required to attend meetings and work in-house as needed and when the project dictates.
Must have verifiable experience and knowledge on state of the art equipment utilized in the medical/dental field. Some understanding of construction methods as it relates to the implementation of such fixtures in regards to plumbing & electrical as well as aesthetics and functionality in relation to the design intent and required use. Well versed on health code in association to the project and it's components to initiate the success thereof. Able to clearly communicate observations and initiate valued change to promote efficiency in the design intent of the project vision.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist in the sourcing of vendors
Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of such vendors working with Project Team
Obtain sample information and arrange demonstrative meetings of such vendors as needed Communicate with project team regarding suggested changes of scope/equipment as project continually develops researching alternatives in materials etc.
Attend meetings as needed to assist Project Team in project development
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed in relation to the fixturing
Assist in obtaining permits or approval on equipment usage as need and/or required
Instrumental in driving the timely completion with outside vendors as it relates to the fixtures
Enforce Company Safety Standards to control Risk Management
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of 7 years of recent verifiable experience
Absolute Knowledge of Medical/Dental Fixturing
Ability to read Blueprints
Ability to read and interpret documents such as specifications, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc. Various trade knowledge as it pertains to the necessary operation & functionality of needed fixture(s) in relation to construction
Ability to write reports and correspondence using a computer with current Microsoft applications
Communicate using the following tools: telephone, email, computer, IPhone devices, digital camera.
Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in various situations;
Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar;
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail
Highly motivated and ability to be flexible in a team environment Willing to sign Non-Disclosure Agreement as it pertains to Company Projects and Clients.
